Následně prosazoval školu narativní terapiie a práci Michaela Whitea a Davida Epstona (viz část III). Donu Collinsovi se dostalo možnosti a pocty vést s Karlem rozhovor o vývoji jeho myšlení a praxe.

When Relationships Generate Realities:: Therapeutic Communication Reconsidered / Gergen, Kenneth J.

Effective therapy often seems magical. A life shattering problem is described in the quiet recesses of a chamber far removed from the site of turmoil. Questions and answers, stories good and bad, emotional outbursts, a little silence and perhaps some tears - all may be present. And then, almost by miraculous intervention, there is change. The problem is transformed, seems less severe, or is possibly dissolved. Yet, we ponder, how was the result achieved?

The Origin of the Solution-Focused Approach / Visser, Coert

In: International Journal of Solution-Focused Practices. - Roč. I, č. 1, s. 10-17.

The solution-focused approach to therapy and coaching has its roots in the work done by herapists in the second half of the twentieth century. This article discusses some important recursors, such as Milton Erickson and the Mental Research Institute. Further, it shows how the members of the Brief Family Therapy Center, led by Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer, eveloped the core of the solution-focused approach in the 1980s. Key concepts and publications are discussed and a description is given of how the team members worked together closely to find out what works in therapy.

For Students Only / Berg, Insoo Kim

As increasing number of academic programs teach Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, we are increasingly asked by students to assist them in their learning about the approach and in their assignments for writing about it’s “founders” and personal information. All such requests from students, of course, they needed to finish the paper yesterday. We are not normally available to students “yesterday” even though it is very urgent for them and we would like them to succeed in earning good grades.

Text nad context: narrative, postmodernism and cybernetics / Bertrando, Paolo

In: Journal of Family Therapy. - Roč. 22, č. 1, s. 83-103. - 2002

Currently, the systemic view in family therapy is being substituted by a postmodern narrative approach, while cybernetics tends to be considered an outdated perspective and its contribution to therapy overlooked.

Zápletky s ním spojené mě vtáhly do vzrušujícího obrazu: podzemní disidentská organizace, zakázané teorie, průnik tajných agentů, obtěžování tajnou policií

We highlight detailed discursive analyses of his actual interviews with clients, illustrating some conversational practices that further collaborative practice. The article concludes by summarizing Tomm’s ideas and conversational practices as they relate to fostering collaborative dialogue with clients.
