000001194 520__ $$aAsking the common-project question is far from simple. You may experience the question as making a promise to the client that the conversation will be helpful and that things will be different, which are promises no wise therapist would ever give. The biggest difficulty though is: What do I do after I asked the question? How do I listen to – and what do I do with the client’s answer. The foundation for the common-project-question is a firm belief – or knowledge – that clients know what they want even if they don’t yet know that they know. Once that belief is firmly an- chored in the therapist the common-project-question becomes obvious and necessary. Until then – there is only hard work and self-discipline.

000001025 520__ $$aLidé za námi chodí, protože si přejí, aby se jim dařilo lépe. Můžeme proto prohlásit, že ono „lépe“ nejen že je jediné téma, které je namístě – ale že by také bylo nerespektuplné vůči klientovi, kdybychom o něm nemluvili. Vždy začínáme sezení zřetelem k tomuto tématu, a to až do chvíle, kdy se dialog stočí ke účelu sezení. „Druhým sezením“ míníme proces, který se uskutečňuje, když profesionál a klient mluví o tom, co se zlepšilo. Je proto mnohem užitečnější mluvit o „jednání prvního sezení“ , „first- session-bahavior“, které nastává, když terapeut a klient hledají a vypočítávají, podle čeho mohou poznat, že terapie už nadále není zapotřebí; a o „jednání druhého sezení“ , “second-session-behavior“ , kdy terapeut a klient hledají a vypočítávají, co se zlepšilo a jak se to stalo.

000001024 520__ $$aNa súčasnej úrovni poznania v psychiatrii, je potvrdené, že nemusíme poznať „skutočné príčiny“ základných „ochorení“, ale predpokladá sa, že pri pokračujúcom výzkume ich budeme poznať a toto poznanie prinesie špecifickú liečbu. Toto môže byť správne, ale môže to byť aj nesprávne. Je možné, že ideme nesprávnym smerom. Môže to byť tak, že problémy vznikajú a udržiavajú sa v reči, tak ako výsledok, dôvod, príčina a účinok ako navrhujú postmoderní myslitelia. Ak je to tak, naše dnešné úsilie príde do slepej uličky.
