Bioantropologie: transdisciplinární projekt Gregory Batesona / Kučera, Marek

Praha: Katedra teorie kultury FF UK Praha, 2011.

Předmětem disertační práce je dílo anglo-amerického antropologa a kybernetika Gregory Batesona, které je v souladu s dánským biologem Jesperem Hoffmeyerem nahlíţeno jako příklad bioantropologického přístupu. Ten spočívá v přesvědčení, ţe mysl či duše představuje jeden z konkrétních projevů přírodního dění, a ţe toto dění samo má duševní charakter.

The Bioethical Dimension od Maturana's Thought / Mascolo, Rossella

Introduced in 1970, bioethics is now more and more commonly used since it applies to a variety of concepts belonging to traditional Western thought. Just like other dualisms that are typical of traditional Western thought (e.g., mind/body, subject/object, philosophy/science), bioethics is developing in areas that are mostly isolated from each other, with each argument restricted to its specific space, without affecting the general concept of bioethics. It is also characterized by the dualism ought/being.

Biological computing from Heinz von Foerster / Mueggenburg, Jan Klaus

When Henry Markram walks into the air-conditioned computer facilities in the basement of the École Polytechnique Fédérale’s Brain Mind Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland, he doesn’t see the black monolithic cabinets, jam-packed with seemingly endless layers of circuit boards and microprocessors. What Markram sees are neurons, synapses and cortical columns that one day will form a complete computer simulation of the human brain.

Ukážeme si, že je jak její ontologicky neslučitelnou alternativou ( vycházející z odlišného pojetí bytí ), tak jejím důsledkem.

A Brief History of the BCL: Heinz von Foerster and the Biological Computer Laboratory / Muller, Albert

I am attempting a preliminary interpretation of a small and, as I believe, unusual chapter of the history of science from the late 1950s to the mid-1970s, one that has received little attention up to now. And I am equally motivated by the fact that the BCL has very seldom been mentioned2 in the literature on the history of cybernetics, systems theory, bionics (now the subject of renewed debate), parallel computing, neurophysiology, bio-logic, artificial intelligence, symbolic computing, or constructivism as an intellectual tradition—and it would be possible to list even more areas of science that are renowned today—despite the fact that workers at this institution, the BCL, figure importantly in the literature on each of these domains.
