Cílem psychoterapie pro onkologicky nemocné je poskytnout bezpečný prostor pro vyjádření nemocného, které zahrnuje pestrou škálu emocí, ale i konkrétních potíží a problémů. Podstatným cílem je také navrácení kompetencí nemocnému k spolurozhodování o léčbě a jeho dalším životě. Uvedené kazuistiky vycházejí z několikaletých zkušeností autorky jako psychoterapeutky pro onkologicky nemocné.
